Residence Permit Regulations for Foreigners in North Cyprus
Once entering North Cyprus, you will receive up to 90-day visa if you own or rent a property. If you wish to stay longer, then you can apply for Residency Permit in North Cyprus, which is a very easy process!
Foreigners who invest in real estate in Northern Cyprus can easily apply for a residence permit for themselves and their families. With the residence permit, you obtain the right to live in North Cyprus with no restrictions. Having a residence permit doesn’t really differ from the 90-day tourist visa, except the fact that you don’t have to leave the island every time the visa expires.
What’s required to get a residence permit?
After the registration of the sales contract, you need to:
Provide documentation: passport copies and title deeds for property
Show either a legitimate income or an evidence for your ability to pay for your living
Complete a brief medical examination process and pay the state health insurance online
Make a short trip to the police station
Once completed, you will receive a one-year residence permit. This permit gets renewed every year for 8 years. After 8 years, you become eligible to get a permanent residence permit!
